THE BOWERY IS A HISTORIC AND RECENTLY REVITILIZED NEIGHBORHOOD IN LOWER MANHATTAN. THE ZONING LOTS SURROUNDING ONE OF THE AREA'S INDIVIDUALLY DESIGNATED LANDMARK BUILDINGS HAS THE POTENTIAL TO BE DEVELOPED AND PROVIDE VALUEABLE COMMERCIAL SPACES. GHS ARCHITECTS DEVELOPED A FEASIBILITY STUDY INCLUDING THE THREE LOTS SURROUNDING THE LANDMARK BUILDING AS WELL AS UTILIZING THE AIR RIGHTS FROM TWO ADJACENT LOTS. THE PROPOSED DESIGN MAXIMIZES THE SITE'S POTENTIAL AND STILL RESPECTS THE HISTORIC SURROUNDINGS.
